c: finally it's done ^^ Two days to do it :'D I'm very proud I love the BG and the atmosphere here C: Well, this is another excuse to make a gift for Kamo xDD lol Here are my fursona and her c: fighting for who's faster than who XD
What makes the best impression on me is a wolf/canine character. The anatomy is almost perfect, the pose is stunning and the shading and highlights are awesome. What I would change there is the coat: I would make the hair a little bit less spiky. Also, I would make a fur on a tail a bit more fluffy. Even so, overall it looks amazing. And about the dragon character... The anatomy is good, but for some reason the character seems a bit too flat to me.
Now the background. I have no reservations about the clouds, but I would add more colors to the sky. And the thing I noticed at first was the grass. Overall it looks very well, but when looking at the grass on the "horizon" (especially the shaded part), I see the same repeating pattern. Try make it more random.
To sum it up: the picture overall looks stunning, even if it has some flaws. It's well composed, the shadows are amazing, and you have the feeling that it's so calm and peaceful there. I hope this'll help you improve somehow. Keep up the good work~
The creatures in this deviation are stunning, and there shading is quite good, however it would have given the picture a fuller look if the dragons wing was fully in the picture. I think a good place to look for improvement for you is your backgrounds. While they are rather nice, part of it feels unfinished. Try to work more with the grass and play with different shading techniques. However your cloud work is nice, I think that you have the shading down just right, because your clouds seem to pop. You overall have a very nice peace here, keep up the good work.
